“Doin’ Something Right” was Currington’s 2005 sophomore album. Already established as a force to reckon with, this album cemented him, and really drove home the fact that this guy was in Nashville to stay.

This one peaked at #2 on the Top Country Albums Chart and #11 on the Billboard 200.

Currington got his first #1 hit from this album with “Must Be Doing Something Right”…apparently he was because soon after “Driving Directions” also hit number one, with a number #13 hit “Why, Why,Why” sandwiched in between the two peak hits.

Driving directions also went on to be the #2 Album of 2007 according to Billboard.

After cutting short his tour in 2007 for a throat ailment, Currington laid low for a while until October of 2008, releasing his third and latest Album “Little Bit of Everything”.

The album title says it all about the album, because it essentially is a little bit of everything as far as musical styles go.

You can see a review of the album here. So far the runaway hit “Don’t” has gone to #1 on the country charts, and I’m sure there will be plenty more where that came from. Songs like “Every Reason Not to Go”, “People are Crazy”, and “Heal Me” are all radio friendly that seem to have hit all over them…while songs like “Swimmin’ in Sunshine” will be a summer favorite as the album gets more and more popular.

Billy Currington’s twangy soulful voice is here to stay, and his live shows showcase what a great voice he has. You can see where his near constant touring since 2003 has paid off in crafting a great stage performance.

Billy Currington music will be around forever, and likely become a huge influence on the country music scene, where little boys listening to him in their daddy’s trucks will grow up wanting to be him!
